Our Sponsored Child - Compassion International

>><<

Recently, we decided to sponsor a child from Compassion International. We chose Compassion because we LOVE how they are so passionate about these kids and teaching them about the Lord.  We wanted to be a part of taking care of their physical needs AND their spiritual needs. Check out their about page:

Here is a picture of Yinta, our sponsored child!

She is so adorable. We absolutely love writing to her and we have heard from her once! She drew us a picture and had some help answering some fun questions about her way of life in Indonesia. We have only known her for a short amount of time and I already want to travel to her home and hug her tight! Her video is even more precious.

We believe that investing in children is so important.

We wanted to do this because we desire to send hope to a little child who doesn't have it nearly as good (at least physically) where she lives as we do.  We are praying that she will come to know the Lord and follow Him! We pray that we will speak life to her through our letters to her.

We also believe in raising our children to show love to others and to care about people!

Kyler has already had a lot of fun drawing and painting pictures and a card for Yinta.  Eli has had a lot of fun eating. ;)

I hope that we will become closer to Yinta over the years and that she will almost feel like part of the family.

I pray that Kyler will never lose his sweet attitude about doing things for others. He loves to help. And he loves to make things for people.

The aftermath was all worth it. We had fun! He even painted on the wall....

I put tape on the paper in the shape of a "Y" for her name and let Ky go to town. I peeled it off later.

Kyler's little card is so cute.

We had a lot of fun putting this together for her. I hope the notebook will go through! I added some crayons before I mailed it.

Maybe one day we can meet precious Yinta. But until then, our prayers are with her and we'll keep sending her happy mail!
