Hi, I'm new here. I'm liking this whole blog thing so far. I decided it was time to share, in depth, my story. You'll probably see posts on here about our home, DIY projects, food, interesting + fun things like that. You'll definitely see posts about my Savior and my family. My prayer for this blog is that my story will speak to people. That the one true God would shine through my life and into other's lives! For that is why we are even here on this earth. To glorify our Lord.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes..." Romans 1:16
A little bit about me and my life up to now. I am married to a most amazing man, named Justin, who is my best friend. He is the Training Director/Assistant Manager at our Chick-fil-A and aspiring Operator (owner) of one in the future. We have a one year old named Kyler, born on May 4th 2013, and another little boy due November 6th 2014.
My dad is a preacher and my mom home schooled my sister and I.
I graduated in the class of 2011, went to our local college for two years, and I am two classes short of graduating. I know. I quit for the time being because I had Kyler at the end of my last semester. My dream, since I was a little girl, was to be a wife and stay at home mom. I am living my dream! And I l.o.v.e. it. Sincerely.
I worked at Chick-fil-A as Assistant Marketing Director for about nine months (all while I was pregnant). If I went back to work, that is what I would do. I mean, who doesn't like to hang out with kids and the CFA cow!? I would love to help out my husband in that area of his future store if that is what the Lord has for us. I also work from home a little bit with my Etsy shop, Two Sisters Shoppe.
I want to back up a little bit to when I got married, June 30th 2012.
I plan on blogging about it, but just real quick, I have to tell you guys that I literally did marry my best friend + childhood crush. We met in the home school group when we were nine, I believe, and at age 11 I just fell for him. Pure crush, through and through. I would write out conversations with him in my journal to practice what I would say and then write how it actually went later. He usually said way less than I pre-planned so they were super short, ha! The crush was mutual though and progressed into best friends around 13/14. This might sound strange to some but by 15, I knew I wanted to marry him. I think he knew a little before that :) We got married at 18 years old and it was one of the best decisions in my life. Including getting married that young. We love being together.
Read about why I blog here on my about page. Also, I want to hear YOUR story. Feel free to comment on any post, any time!
